Twisted Cuts will be hosting the Miss PIAE competition this year for the 2nd year in a row. We had the honor of hosting the competition last year and we had so much fun. We have revamped the process of crowing the winner and we took great pride in the work we were able to produce. During the previous years we have put on fashion shows, showcasing some of our best work. In 2017 we were able to change things up and do something a little different with the competition.
Here are some photos highlights from the 2017 Miss PIAE competition where Allyza Calderon was crowned. Allyza had entered the competition during Hawaii Tattoo Expo's 1st year. Our panel of judges Mandy Garcia; Tattoo Artist, Shiulina Wu; 2014 Miss PIAE winner, Josh Chinen; Tattoo Artist from Aftermath Tattoo Studio, Jay aka Imortalines; Tattoo Artist from The Legion 808 and Keith Hoerling from Weedmaps.
All swimsuits worn during the competition was custom made by Twisted Cuts to each individual persons body type that complimented them and their tattoos. The women who entered all did amazing, it takes a lot of courage to get up there in front of a crowd of people and they showed their tattoos off with pride and looked gorgeous doing so.
We are starting to accept submissions for the 2018 Miss PIAE, the winner is chosen by tattoo quality and their love for the art. If you have some body art you would like to show off email us! The winner is chosen by the panel of judges and we have a fair and just system in place to chose the winner. We are looking forward to meeting and crowning the new Miss PIAE. Submission requirements are listed below. We are looking for strong positive women with amazing tattoos of all body types to participate.
