This movie is VERY WOKE! I actually enjoyed it. I didn't think it was going to be good after seeing the trailer. So I didn't exactly go into it with an open mind but I was surprisingly wrong.
Could it have been better? Yes! But take it for what it is and you'll enjoy it.
It's not as dark as the original. It's similar enough to be a sequel but different enough to be a remake. I do have a couple issues with the ending but I also have a couple issues with the original.
Is it worth $20-$25 to rent/buy? Uhh... I don't know about that. I mean, it's nice to be able to watch new movies during covid but I would say just wait to watch it for free, unless you really want to see it now.
